Sahaviriya Steel Industries Pcl. (SSI) is the first and the largest manufacturer of hot-rolled steel sheet in coils (HRC) in Thailand with maximum capacity of 2.4 million tonnes per year and investment cost of more than Baht 13,300 million or US million. In 2004, SSI started the operation of pickling and oiling processing line (P/O coil) with maximum capacity of up to 1 million tonnes per year at investment cost of more than Baht 1,000 million. SSI also invested in the expansion project to increase annual production capacity of HRC from 2.4 million tonnes to 4 million tones with an investment cost of Baht 3,600 million and the project completed in February 2005.
